Two childhood friends, a small in-house team, and a habit of keeping the whole job under one roof.
Right Off Films is an independent production company based in London, founded by childhood friends Dashiell Upton and Lev Petrov. It makes original narrative films, behind-the-scenes and EPK work for other productions, and concept-led commercials.
Scripting, casting, crew, shoot and post are handled by a small in-house team. Keeping those stages together, rather than farming them out, puts quality control and budget in the same pair of hands.

How it started
Dashiell Upton and Lev Petrov met long before either of them owned a camera. Right Off started the way most small companies do: one short film, borrowed kit, and nobody else to blame.

How it works now
Script, cast, crew, shoot and post sit with the same people. Nothing is handed to a third party and quoted back. It is why the budget and the quality answer to one pair of hands.

What is next
Four original shorts and a run of commissioned coverage built the method. The Present Times is where it goes next: the same small team, at feature length.
